Easter speeds up the reality that life outlasts death. It uses the bodily form to animate the spiritual reality that life continues beyond death.
Easter stuns us. It awakens us to the greater truth of our otherwise sleepy existence — death is never final. God’s power has seen to this all the way along, of course. But, not unlike Spring itself, it is especially manifest in personal form through Easter.
So, it is worth uttering the words of reality, He Is Risen!
